A cooking show dedicated to the prevention and reduction of food waste through the use of local ingredients: this is the activity that will see Chef Gianluca Tomasi engaged on 13 October at 10:30 at the Politeama Theater in Catanzaro, location of the meeting.
“Spinach sedanini with sardines served on old bread cream” is the name of the recipe that will be performed by Chef Gianluca Tomasi as an activity dedicated to promoting awareness on the reduction of food waste through the choice and wise use of ingredients, to increase the edible portion and recover food that could otherwise be wasted such as old bread.
During the Show Cooking Mr Antonio Iacona, moderator of the event and Mrs Elisa Filippi, project manager of the LIFE FOSTER project for FIC, will talk about sustainability and anti-waste strategies as developed within LIFE FOSTER project. In fact, the LIFE FOSTER Manifesto for the prevention of food waste will be presented during the event.
The Show cooking in the framework of the National Cook’s Day is a national event co-organized by the Italian Federation of Chefs, as part of the activities of the European LIFE FOSTER project of which it is a partner.
